After entering the Twittersphere in 2010 Armagh Planetarium’s online presence has grown over the past few years encompassing the Astronotes blog and Facebook accounts. We at Armagh Planetarium have also recently launched a Pinterest account for you to follow or seek inspiration from.
If you are not a regular pinner, Pinterest is a website where users can share images and media. Inside of just liking and sharing content, users can pin media onto different pin boards, arranged perhaps by theme or content. These pins then usually link back to a website to find out the full article and they have an app for mobile devices which allows pinning on the go. You can also follow different boards and users or create your own.
The Planetarium Pinterest pages have over 20 boards for you follow and are growing into a spectacular and educational resource site , so if you are searching for an interesting space photo, an inspirational idea for a space arts and crafts project or the perfect cake for your starry eyed friend or even wanting more information on the stars, planets and galaxies, the Planetarium Pinterest site has lots to excite and enthuse. So join us and get pinning!
