Armagh Observatory and Planetarium are delighted to announce that we are now a JAM Card friendly facility. The Just A Minute (JAM) Card is a pioneering initiative developed by the NOW Group, a social enterprise supporting people with learning difficulties and autism. In the style of a credit card, the JAM card helps customers discreetly make staff aware of their condition and that they need Just A Minute of patience.

Director of Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, Prof. Michael Burton said, “We are delighted to be a JAM card friendly facility. Armagh Observatory and Planetarium prides itself on being an inclusive astronomy centre and our staff can now ensure that all our visitors are supported throughout their astronomical journey with us”.

Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is JAM Card friendly

Frontline staff at Armagh Observatory and Planetarium have been trained to recognise the distinctive card and to help those customers using it to enjoy the same quality of customer service and access to the Planetarium as everyone else.

“It is wonderful to welcome Armagh Observatory and Planetarium to the JAM Card Family. By becoming JAM Card friendly, frontline staff will be able to ensure all customers; including those who need just a minute, are offered the best customer service”. Leeann Kelly, Business Development Manager, NOW Group.
